College Girls Rock, INC. was founded August 19th, 2011 by Tyler Lanier and Ericka Claudio on the University of West Georgia Campus
Tyler Lanier
Tyler graduated from the University of West Georgia in Spring 2014 with a dual degree in Marketing and Management. She is now based in Cincinnati, OH working in Sales for P&G as a National Account Executive. As the Co-Founder of CGR, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and a social activist with her local Cincinnati-NAACP, she continues to be passionate about engaging with the community through service. Her favorite quote is "It always seems impossible until it's done".
Tyler and Ericka met in their Watson Dorm Hall at UWG during the Spring Semester of 2011. After feeling frustrated about the lack of representation that College Women had as role-models for young girls, they decided to start a movement of their own to make a change in the way college women were perceived to society and today's youth.
“We just wanted girls to know that going to college is not “out of style”... it’s actually pretty amazing!”
Ericka Claudio
Ericka Claudio is currently enrolled at Georgia State University studying Public Policy. As a political operative, she has worked on several high profile campaigns [including Bernie Sanders and Jason Carter] to help represent under-served communities. She regularly engages in her community through her church, independent service projects and as Co-Founder of CGR. Her favorite quote is: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
